The Dove
The symbolism of the Dove, in almost every culture, is that of Peace, Motherhood and Divine Feminine Energy. However, the Dove carries additional meanings for different people.
For instance, for the Blackfoot Indian the dove is a symbol of protection. Their feathers were often carried into battle as an offering to help insure a safe return. The Pueblo often used Dove feathers on their prayer sticks. They also believe that by following the song of the dove they would be led to water.
For Christians, the Dove is not only a symbol of peace, but also a symbol of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of God. After God sent the great flood, Noah sent out a dove 3 times. The first time the dove returned having found nothing. The second time, the dove returned with a freshly picked olive leaf. The third time the dove did not return, indicating that the water was subsiding and the it had found a safe place to land. To Noah this symbolized a time of peace following judgement.
It doesn’t matter who you are, when the song of the dove calls to our soul it stirs within us a maternal instinct, a connection with the divine and a deep rooted connection with the earth. It brings with it a sense of peace and the promise that something better is headed our way.
If the Dove has entered your life, either as a totem or as a messenger, it is important for you to focus on bringing more peace and calm into your life. You may be being asked to go out and find a way to share peace and love to others in these troubled times.
Being a symbol of providence, a Dove flying into your life may symbolize that your prayers are being answered and you are being watched over and guided by angels. No matter what you might be facing, you are never alone. The wind beneath your wings will keep you safe.
Finally the dove asks us to have an open heart. Love is the highest and most pure energy. Being a ground feeder, the dove represents a balance between heaven and earth and reminds us that while we much seek to remain grounded, we also need to learn to fly above the hurt and anger, the stresses of daily life.

Wolf
The Wolf
The Wolf is a highly intelligent animal, representing loyalty, guardianship, and ritual. It is ultimate symbol of the “wild spirit” within.
Wolves are legendary because of their spine-tingling howl, which can strike fear in the bravest of men. However, the howl of the wolf is how they communicate. A lone wolf will howl to attract the attention of their pack. Some howls are territorial in nature, and some may be a warning. Sometimes the howling begins simply because of the howling of a nearby wolf. If you hear a wolf howl it might be telling you to stand your ground and defend your boundaries.
A lone wolf embodies the energy of freedom, whereas the wolf pack embodies a sense of community. If wolf appears to you alone or in a pack it is asking you to acquire the same within your own life. In spite of their negative press wolves are actually friendly, social and highly intelligent.
Wolves are the largest members of the dog family. Adaptable gray wolves are by far the most common and were once found all over the Northern Hemisphere. But wolves and humans have a long adversarial history. Though they almost never attack humans, wolves are considered one of the animal world's most fearsome natural villains. For this reason, the wolf is the most misunderstood mammal in nature. They do attack domestic animals, and countless wolves have been shot, trapped, and poisoned because of this tendency.
Wolves live and hunt in packs of around six to ten animals. They are known to roam large distances, perhaps as much as 10 to 12 miles or more in a single day. If in pursuit, the wolf might run as many as 30 or more miles in a day, making it the ultimate symbol of stamina and strength. Wolves hunt in packs, relying on endurance to run down weak and older animals.
Being extremely social and organized, wolves not only cooperate during the hunt, they share in the responsibility of raising their pups. They do not fight without cause, rather choosing to avoid conflict. Sometimes a growl, a glance, a posture is all that is necessary to determine dominance. Wolf teaches those with this medicine to know who you are and to develop strength and confidence in what you do.
Wolves convey much with their bodies. If they are angry, they may stick their ears straight up and bare their teeth. A wolf who is suspicious will lay its ears back and narrow its eyes. If a wolf ears are flat against its head, this indicates fear. A wolf who wants to play dances and bows playfully. Their body language is symbolic for those with this medicine. Man also uses body language to convey messages. The study of this art can increase perception in those with this totem.
Wolfpacks are established according to a strict hierarchy, with a dominant male at the top and his mate not far behind. Usually this male and female are the only animals of the pack to breed. All of a pack's adults help to care for young pups by bringing them food and watching them while others hunt.
Wolf teaches you to have a balance between the needs of your family and the needs you have for yourself. While they are loyal to their pack, they do not give up their individual identity. If a wolf appears in your life you are being asked to look at where you are being too dependent and where you may be too independent. Strike a balance within your family, your work and your social life.

Universal Life Force Energy
Universal Life Force Energy
The secret art of inviting happiness,
The miraculous medicine of all diseases.
Just for today, do not anger.
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude.
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" or simply holding the hands just above the body to direct the flow of energy, and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
We are alive because life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.
The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.
Reiki's use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to
everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.
While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.
Reiki Can Never Cause Harm
Because Reiki is guided by the God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what a person needs and will adjust itself to create the effect that is appropriate for them. One never need worry about whether to give Reiki or not. It is always helpful.
In addition, because the practitioner does not direct the healing and does not decide what to work on, or what to heal, the practitioner is not in danger of taking on the karma of the client. Because the practitioner is not doing the healing, it is also much easier for the ego to stay out of the way and allow the presence of God to clearly shine through.
Energy is Never Depleted
Because it is a channeled healing, the Reiki practitioner's energies are never depleted. In fact, the Reiki consciousness considers both practitioner and client to be in need of healing, so both receive treatment. Because of this, giving a treatment always increases one's energy and leaves one surrounded with loving feelings of well-being.
Treatment
People have sought Reiki treatment for a wide variety of health-related purposes. Some examples include:
Effects of stress.
Chronic pain.
Recovery from surgery and anesthesia.
Side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer.
Lowering heart rate.
Improving immunity.
Mental clarity.
Sense of well-being and/or spirituality.
Enhancing the sense of peace in people who are dying.
Effects of Reiki
Clients may report a deep feeling of relaxation after a Reiki session. Relaxation in and of itself may have beneficial health-related effects, such as reducing pain, nausea, and fatigue. A client might also experience warmth, tingling, sleepiness, refreshment, and/or the easing of one or more other symptoms after treatment.
Sometimes a Reiki client experiences what practitioners call a "cleansing crisis." The person may have symptoms such as a feeling of weakness or tiredness, a headache, or a stomach ache. Reiki practitioners believe that these are effects of the body releasing toxins. They advise the client on how to deal with such symptoms if they occur, such as by getting more rest, drinking plenty of water, or eating a lighter diet.

Join me for Speaking With Spirit, where I will be making
connections with and delivering messages from your loved ones who have crossed
over into spirit. Messages from spirit help to bring solace, peace, healing and
spiritual insights to those who have been left behind. While I cannot guarantee who will come
through during the event, those who need to receive a message usually will.
Sometimes the message will come directly to you, and other times the message
you need to hear will be received through another’s connection. Either way, the
messages are always filled with hope, comfort and love.
